Kindergarten Classroom Instructor

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing kindergarten classroom teacher to join our team. In this role, you will create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to explore, grow, and succeed. You will design and implement creative lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate action within clearly defined guidelines.

• Demonstrate current knowledge of discipline(s) taught and integrate ideas across disciplines.
• Teach to students' ability levels and learning styles.
• Connect content knowledge to real-world applications.
• Plan lessons and develop instructional material reflecting current constructs and principles of the discipline(s).
• Analyze sources of factual information for accuracy.
• Present content reflecting sensitivity to a multicultural and global perspective.
• Collaborate with teachers in other disciplines to structure cross-disciplinary approaches to instruction.
• Focus instruction on Kentucky's learning goals and academic expectations.
• Develop instruction requiring students to apply knowledge, skills, and thinking processes.
• Create and utilize learning experiences that challenge, motivate, and actively involve the learner.
• Develop learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate.
• Incorporate strategies addressing physical, social, and cultural differences.
• Develop and implement appropriate assessment processes.
• Secure and use a variety of school and community resources to support learning.
• Encourage students to be adaptive, flexible, resourceful, and creative.
• Communicate with and challenge students in a supportive manner, providing constructive feedback.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree or higher and the required Kentucky certificate for the assigned position.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students, peers, and adults.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty.
