Kindergarten Classroom Assistant

About the role

Scheck Hillel Community School, a large Jewish private school located in sunny North Miami Beach, Florida, is currently accepting resumes for qualified Classroom Assistants in our Lower School division for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

- Support teachers in the classroom - Assist with lesson preparation and implementation - Help manage student behavior and classroom management - Provide individualized attention to students - Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

- At least two years of college coursework (60 semester credit hours) - Classroom experience and/or working with children in a structured environment - Strong communication and computer skills - Satisfactory background check (including references and fingerprinting clearance)

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to support and enhance the educational experience of students - Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body - Strong interpersonal and organizational skills - Commitment to Jewish values and community

Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficient in using technology and software relevant to the classroom setting
