Kindergarten Babysitter and Tutor

About the role

We are a family in Grand Rapids, MI, seeking a kind and creative individual to support our daughter's kindergarten academics. This role involves tutoring in a calm, one-on-one, in-home setting in the Ada area.

Responsibilities

• Lead literacy and math sessions on a parent-selected curriculum
• Schedule and conduct tutoring sessions on Mondays and Thursdays, mornings, for 2-3 hours each day starting Fall 2026
• Implement an approach that includes nature school, language enrichment, and curiosity-driven learning
• Engage with and support a young child in a collaborative family environment

Requirements

• Enjoy teaching young children
• Be gentle and engaging
• Have experience with early learners

Qualifications

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience
• Paid prep time is negotiable
