Kiln Operator/Boiler Tender Trainee

Responsibilities

• Tending the boiler
• Monitoring kilns
• Loading/unloading kilns
• Loading/unloading kiln charges
• Record keeping
• Environmental reporting
• Clean up at boiler and kilns
• Cleaning fuel cells
• Boiler water tests
• Working during boiler shutdowns
• Doing minor repairs at the boiler and kilns

Requirements

• Basic trouble shooting skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Work well with others
• Self-motivated
• Forklift experience in a production environment
• Basic maintenance skills
• Strong commitment to safety
• Willingness to work swing and graveyard shifts

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include boiler experience and hog fueled boiler experience
• Loader experience is preferred
