Kids Ministry Associate, Elementary

Summary Works with staff and volunteers to create age-appropriate environments and materials for Elementary aged children to discover God, His Story and their place in it, with a focus on grades Kindergarten through 2 nd grade. Oversees volunteers and looks for opportunities to equip parents to become the primary disciple-makers in their homes. What You Will Be Doing Recruits, processes, trains, and shepherds volunteer leaders to minister to children and families; coordinates the onboarding and scheduling of volunteers.Writes and edits curriculum for small group environments in ways that engage children.Assists with setup and prep for weekend services.Checks in volunteers and children on the weekends; solves problems and helps the team, as needed.Assists in planning and executing events for children and volunteers.Responds to daily emails and phone calls from volunteers, parents, and others.Performs administrative tasks, as needed.
