Kids Club Coordinator- Middletown YMCA Family Location

Essential Responsibilities

• Oversight of all aspects of the Kids’ Club program.
• Planning, implementation, and active participation in daily age-appropriate classroom activities to ensure all children are provided with an opportunity to learn.
• Coordination of staff scheduling and support for staff training and learning and development.
• Supervision of children, groups, and all activities assigned while maintaining safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate childcare practices.
• Providing daily care for children including supporting their social and emotional needs.
• Encouraging, engaging, and supporting children in all classroom activities including instructional times, transitions, and gross motor activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
• Experience working with children, ranging from six weeks to 12 years, in a group setting.
• Knowledge of child and infant care and age-appropriate activities.
• Completion of 12 hours of early childhood or youth development training within 60 days of hire.
• Completion of a physical and tuberculosis screening and providing a physician's documentation of both within 30 days of hire.
