KidCare/Spartan Spot Assistant

Reports to: Child Care Site Leader | Department: Community Education

About the role

Responsible for implementing scheduled routines and activities with children. Works with school staff, community members, and students.

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop collaborative effort with ROCORI preschool programs.
• Work closely with Kid Care Site Leader to implement daily routine and activities.
• Supervise and develop relationships with children.
• Assist with lunch and recess duties as assigned.
• Open and/or close the Kid Care/Spartan Spot program day.
• Other duties as assigned and appropriate for ROCORI's Child Care programs.

Requirements

• Have a working knowledge of area resources that support ROCORI students and families.
• Experience working with children in a childcare setting.

Physical requirements

• Continuously required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, talk, and hear.
• Frequently sits, stoops, kneels and/or crouches, reaches with hands and arms.
• Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally; and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Pay

Starts at $16.25 per hour + an additional $1.50 per hour for opening or closing duties.

Schedule

Up to 40 hours per week.
