Responsibilities
- In partnership with the management team, ensure the store achieves company objectives and KPI goals.
- Set the example for The Torrid Connection through selling skills and customer service, ensuring the team provides a shopping experience that encourages positive customer connections and loyalty.
- Support the management team in implementing merchandise strategies while maintaining a clean, consistent, and inviting store environment that inspires customers to shop.
- Perform register functions while using your sales, promotion, and product knowledge to drive add-on sales.
- Absorb responsibility for all store operations when the management team is out of the store as acting Manager on Duty.
- Work a flexible schedule inclusive of holidays, nights, and weekends.
Requirements
- Previous specialty/apparel retail management experience, preferably in a similar role, with proven ability to lead teams to success and proven sales performance.
- Flexibility to multitask in a fast-paced environment while focusing on creating an amazing customer experience.
- Fashion and retail are constantly evolving, so adaptability and the ability to handle any situation, environment, challenge, job duty, and work schedule are key to your success.
- Able to stand and walk around during scheduled hours, pack and unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Able to reach for merchandise using ladders, step stools, merchandise retrieving poles, shoe poles, etc.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and sales performance in a retail management setting.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and the ability to apply this knowledge to customer interactions.
- Physical requirements: able to stand and walk around, pack and unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
