Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of inbound email traffic, supplemented with phone contact, to assess customer needs
- Prepare detailed reports, as required, for customers
- Respond to customer inquiries with the intent of providing customer satisfaction, retention, and increasing revenue spend which includes new lanes and services
- Review customer inquiries, problems, requests and suggestions to determine the appropriate solutions and/or responses
- Arrange for expedited service recovery for shipments, when necessary
- Partner with DHL Sales representatives to develop solutions that address the complex business issues of their customers
- Participate in presentations to customers and Senior DHL Management
- Take rollover inbound calls as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in a team-based customer service environment and sales experience
- Exceptional customer-focused oral and written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills; ability to quickly build rapport with both customer base and DHL sales reps
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook & Excel, database and web-based applications
- Good time management and prioritization skills
- Prior proven track record of taking initiative to accomplish tasks in creative ways with a sense of urgency and assertiveness
- Preferred experience with SPARK Backline functions
