Kennel Technician

About the role

FMA Animal Hospital is seeking a Kennel Technician to join our team. Our kennel team is dedicated to the care and comfort of our patients while maintaining a clean and safe environment for pets, clients, and staff.

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive care to boarding dogs and cats - Feed, walk, and monitor pets for health and behavior changes - Clean kennels and hospital areas as needed - Check boarding clients in and out

Requirements

- 1+ years of experience as a veterinary kennel assistant / kennel technician preferred - Will consider related experience within animal care such as boarding / doggy daycare attendant, FFA or 4H background - Must be a self-starter who can work independently - Punctual and reliable - Desire for knowledge & growth in the veterinary field - Willing to work holidays and weekends - Excellent communication & customer service skills

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent - CPR certification preferred

Skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds - Good hand-eye coordination

Schedule

- Part-Time position, with flexible scheduling options, and availability needed Monday-Friday and rotating weekends.
