Kennel Attendant - Cherokee Trail Veterinary Hospital

About the role

Responsibilities

• Giving daily care, fresh food, water, and lots of love to our boarders
• Kennels, runs, and animal areas are kept sparkling clean and sanitized
• Daily walking, playing with, and socializing dogs (tail wags guaranteed!)
• Monitoring animal behavior and reporting anything unusual
• Replenishing supplies (food, bedding, cleaning materials—you name it)
• Supporting our veterinary team with patient handling when needed
• Making sure every pet feels safe, seen, and cared for

Requirements

• A heart for animals and a calm, patient approach
• Reliable, positive, and great with people and pets
• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Ready to learn, grow, and roll up your sleeves
• Cool with a little mess and a lot of movement (this is not a desk job!)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with animals preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
