Kennel Attendant

About the role

Village Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Full-Time Kennel Attendant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential to the daily care of our patients and boarded pets.

Responsibilities

• Feed, water, and monitor dogs, cats, and other small animals
• Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and common areas
• Walk dogs and provide safe exercise and enrichment
• Monitor animals for signs of stress, illness, or injury and report concerns to veterinary staff
• Absorb and maintain a clean, organized facility
• Greet pet owners in a friendly, professional manner when required

Requirements

• A genuine interest in animal care and welfare
• Comfortable handling animals safely and calmly
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends & holidays if scheduled
• Good attention to detail and strong cleaning standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience in animal care is helpful but not required. We’re happy to train the right person.
