Kennel Attendant

About the role

We’re looking for a Part-Time Kennel Attendant to join our team at West Chester Pet Resort. Located in a beautiful area with easy access to Richmond, we offer premium pet boarding, supervised daycare, exotic pet stays, and more.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring off-leash playtime (group and individual) for boarding and daycare guests.
• Feeding pets according to schedule and administering medications as directed.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and prepping all boarding and play areas.
• Supporting enrichment, exercise, and socialization so pets go home happy and tired.
• Maintaining a calm, positive, and professional demeanor with pets and people alike.

Requirements

• Loves animals and understands how to read their behavior.
• Dependable, hardworking, and not afraid to get a little messy.
• Can multitask in a fast-paced, active environment.
• Has strong communication skills and a caring attitude.
• Takes pride in making pets (and their people) feel confident and cared for.
• Eager to learn and be part of a team that lifts each other up.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with animals preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Positive and patient demeanor.
• Basic knowledge of animal health and care.
