About the role

We are seeking a Veterinary Kennel Assistant to join our team. Our Kennel team is dedicated to the care and comfort of our patients while providing critical support to the veterinary team. In this role, you will focus on patient husbandry and care as well as general housekeeping duties throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide meals and walks to boarding patients
• Administer medication
• Monitor for any medical or behavioral concerns and provide detailed documentation about observations
• Ensure kennels, common spaces, and treatment areas are sanitized and well stocked with supplies
• Assist with patient restraint and light technical tasks
• Maintain accurate record-keeping

Requirements

• 1+ years of veterinary kennel, boarding, daycare, or related animal care experience preferred (FFA/4-H welcomed)
• Passion for animal care with safe handling and restraint of dogs and cats
• Experience with boarding care, medication administration, walking, kennel/cage maintenance, and housekeeping
• Strong observation, organization, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
• Dependable with a positive attitude
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role

Schedule

• Every Saturday: 6:00 PM until boarding duties are completed
• Every Sunday: 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM until boarding duties are completed
• Holiday availability required
• Occasional Saturday morning shifts as needed

Pay

$12–$14 per hour
