About the role

The Hawaii State Department of Education seeks to hire highly qualified teachers in various roles, including Science 9-12 positions. The minimum qualification is a Bachelor's Degree, except for designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) positions.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Science 9-12 curriculum

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Teacher's Education Program to meet Hawaii licensing requirements within 3 years of employment
  • Satisfactory demonstration of active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements

Pay

New employees can expect their first paycheck within the first 3 pay periods of their start date. Paydays are on the 5th and 20th (or previous business day) of every month.

Schedule

Teachers are expected to work a 10-month work year.
