About the role
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Managers in coordinating and executing construction projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a leadership position within project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities to meet deadlines.
- Support the preparation, submission, and tracking of budget estimates and project costs.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to help resolve project issues.
- Track project progress and prepare reports for Project Managers and clients.
- Review and interpret engineering, architectural, and construction drawings.
- Maintain accuracy of project files, documentation, and records.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespeople, and craft workers.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support project goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in construction or a related field (project coordination or management support preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to read and understand engineering, architectural, and construction drawings.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, dependable, and strong follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and composure under pressure.
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
