Requirements

The Hawaii State Department of Education requires a Bachelor's Degree for most teacher positions. For those without a Teacher's Education Program, a valid Hawaii teaching license must be obtained within three years of employment. Enroll in a Program to continue employment and meet licensing requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire. Applicants must demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements.

Pay

New employees can expect their first paycheck within the first 3 pay periods of their start date. Paydays are on the 5th and 20th (or previous business day) of every month.
