About the Role

Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge. Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assists in development of training procedures. Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans. Responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc. Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance. Supervises qualified trades staff; monitoring job and budget performance for all shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assign work to semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel based on skill, experience, and job knowledge.
  • Train and evaluate employees to improve work quality and productivity.
  • Recommend and assist in developing training procedures to enhance employee skills.
  • Translate broad strategies into actionable plans and ensure employees are trained to execute them.
  • Ensure compliance with all technical aspects of the job, including adherence to drawings and procedures.
  • Oversee manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations with significant financial impact.
  • Monitor job and budget performance across all shifts for supervised trades staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR
  • Apprentice Certification OR
  • High School diploma and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, or military experience OR
  • Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical field and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade, and/or military experience.

Nice to Have

  • Versed knowledge of the X11 workload of the ISCVN/RCOH program, including:
  • Opening tanks after final closure, selling tanks and tank testing.
  • Compartment completion testing, H-105 Air testing, general fitting.
  • TIR processes and call-ins, water tight hatches and doors.

Pay

Salary range: $92,000.00 to $117,000.00. The anticipated salary range represents the estimated base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
