About the role
Innova Girls Academy Charter School seeks a K-5 Grade Teacher - ELA or Math Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a STEAM-based educational environment that fosters academic excellence and leadership development.
Responsibilities
- Internalize and customize prepared literacy lesson plans to ensure high quality literacy instruction on a daily basis.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons as demonstrated by student data.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and community members.
- Assess and evaluate student growth; create and execute action plans at class-wide, group-wide, and individual bases in response to student data.
- Model CREATE values and foster a classroom culture that develops these values in students.
- Effectively and regularly communicate with parents to address individual student needs.
Requirements
- College Diploma in relevant course of study and/or work experience to demonstrate expertise in K-5 grade education.
- NYS Teaching Certification or working towards attaining such certification.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a College Diploma in relevant course of study and/or work experience demonstrating expertise in K-5 grade education. NYS Teaching Certification or working towards certification is required.
Skills
Strong instructional skills, ability to build positive relationships, and proficiency in creating a supportive learning environment are essential.

Pay
