Position Summary: St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School is seeking a highly motivated part-time faculty member to teach 5th grade ELA and to assist in 5th & 6th grade Math during the 2026-2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute lessons for a 5th grade ELA group.
• Provide classroom support to the lead teacher in 5th & 6th grade Math and ELA by assisting with small group instruction and supervision of students.
• Meet the individual needs of the children and create a classroom environment that is consistent with the mission of the school and parish.
• Take initiative to direct, guide and motivate the children in their learning.

Requirements

• Previous experience teaching elementary/middle school students.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing.
• Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans.
• Ability to relate well with students and manage a classroom environment.
• Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
• Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Teaching License
• Experience in Catholic education

Schedule

Hours per week: Part Time - 19 (Monday-Friday)
