K-2 Academic Support Technician

Responsibilities

• Affords students orientation to classroom and school routines, behaviors, and procedures.
• Develops and delivers remedial instruction for identified skill deficits using data.
• Works individually or in small groups, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Administers, scores, and records assessments as necessary.
• Collaborates regularly with teachers, Instructional Coordinators, and administrators to review student progress.
• Maintains ethical behavior and confidentiality regarding students and colleagues.
• Participates in ongoing in-service training programs as assigned.
• Exhibits a positive, professional attitude towards supervisors, co-workers, students, and the community.
• Performs additional duties as directed by the building administrator.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree - required
• Ed Tech Certification and fingerprinting - required
• Elementary school experience - preferred
• Skilled at building relationships and creating a positive learning environment
• Knowledgeable in effective instructional practices, including differentiation
• Able to collaborate effectively with teams to use data-driven instruction
• Flexible and responsive to students' needs
