JUVENILE CASE MANAGER (GRANT FUNDED)

About the role

Applications accepted from all persons interested. Division: Judicial Operations. Reporting location: 1400 Lubbock. Work schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., subject to change, with occasional weekends, extended shifts, and evening availability for Municipal Court dockets, workshops, home visits, and community service projects. General office setting with occasional outdoor work exposing to less‑than‑optimal temperature and air conditions. All candidates must pass CJIS certification (fingerprinting and full criminal background check) and maintain clearance throughout employment. The position is subject to random drug testing; promotional candidates must pass an assignment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Serve on a team of Juvenile Case Managers for a truancy prevention and intervention program, providing case management and support services to truant students and families.
• Use individual judgment and discretion to conduct identification/assessment, truancy intervention, and community‑based referrals to social services for juveniles and their families.
• Conduct home/school visits to perform pre‑court assessments and interviews with students and families, connecting them to community resources.
