Junior Varsity (JV1) Soccer, Head Coach
Head Coach Responsibilities
- Plans and executes team practices with JV1 assistant coach support.
- Coaches in all regular season games as scheduled and as possible, supports varsity tryouts at start of fall season, beginning August 29 through 2nd week in November.
- Commitment is approximately 20-25 hours per week (Monday – Saturday) with practices occurring weekdays from 3:15-5pm as well as games typically on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.
- Collaborates with head varsity soccer coach on player development, strategies, and practice plans when appropriate.
- Stays current in and expands knowledge of coaching techniques.
- Models and ensures diversity and cultural competency (respect, inclusiveness, reflecting, valuing, and welcoming cultural differences) in all position responsibilities regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, social class, sexual orientation, ability, nationality, age, language, or origin.
Qualifications
- Ability to positively motivate, inspire, and be a role model to high school students, on and off field.
- At least 2 years’ experience coaching in club, high school, or college setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Soccer playing experience at high school, college, or higher level.
- Ability and willingness to manage a Monday-Saturday practice/game schedule which includes travel to away opponents.
Pay
Salary Range: $4,400 - $5,000

Approximately 20-25 hours per week (Monday – Saturday)
