Junior Unity Developer

Remote Full time/Part time Role We are developing a cross-platform 2D game built in Unity, already published on iOS and Android. Our team is seeking a Unity Developer to develop and maintain the project. Google Play App Store Salary Up to $300 Responsibilities Modularize and centralize game parameters; implement editable configurations through structured tables (e.g., CSV, ScriptableObjects, etc.)Design a flexible audio system: each sound (e.g., footsteps, hits) must be referenced by ID, read settings from a config source, and adapt contextually (e.g., footsteps vary by tile type)Build a foundation for data-driven level generation using table-based definitions (tiles, background, NPCs)Refactor and reorganize the project structure: clean codebase, group assets logically, and improve maintainabilityContribute to testing efforts to ensure quality in the codebase. Requirements Practical experience with Unity (2D) Strong ability to understand and improve existing codebases Proactive learning mindset (including working with documentation and AI assistants like ChatGPT) Realistic self-assessment and commitment to agreed timelines Experience with Git/GitHub Professional independence, attention to detail, and accountability — prior experience is a plus but not required Nice to Have Experience with ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor.
