About the role

We are seeking a Jr Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on first-level tickets escalated to the team, ensuring our IT infrastructure runs smoothly while building a foundation for more advanced responsibilities. You’ll handle user account and computer setup/decommissioning, troubleshoot basic day-to-day tickets, and make a significant impact on our team.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Support operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS
  • Manage user accounts using tools like Active Directory
  • Assist with software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Provide basic networking support (IP configuration, DNS, VPN)
  • Configure, install, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and IT teams for repairs, updates, and troubleshooting
  • Provide timely, professional support to end users
  • Communicate clearly and explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Maintain accurate documentation and time entries
  • Build strong relationships with clients and ensure high satisfaction
  • Handle user concerns calmly and professionally, including de-escalation
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • An associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience working in an MSP, internal IT environment, or a similar technical support setting
  • Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Server+, CySA+, MS-900, AZ-900, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, client-focused team
  • Enthusiasm for taking on challenges in a growing company with a diverse client base
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
