Our software helps protect the environment and lowers utility bills by optimizing energy and utility company operations. We're hiring and growing in locations throughout the U.S. with our headquarters in Norman, OK, and international offices in Peru and Mexico. This role requires working in our PCI Norman office on a hybrid basis (some days at home and some days in the office).
Responsibilities
- Implement robust IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Develop and deploy system configurations and software updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders to gather requirements and design system architecture that meets business needs.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as backups, patch management, and system upgrades.
- Respond to and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner, providing expert-level support to end-users.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the organization’s data and IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory frameworks, such as SOC 1/SOC 2 and FISMA requirements.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and project progress.
- Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users on system functionalities and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role, with a strong background in managing IT infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), network administration, and virtualization technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Associate Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, CompTIA A+) are highly desirable.
- Must have flexible availability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and support after-hours system maintenance as required.
Schedule
Hybrid work schedule: some days at home and some days in the Norman, OK office. Flexible working hours with a requirement for 24/7 on-call rotation and after-hours system maintenance support.
