About the role

As our Level 1 Junior Systems Administrator, you'll be the first line of defense in providing technical support to our clients. Your role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operations for our clients' IT environments. You'll troubleshoot software glitches, resolve network connectivity issues, assist with hardware/software installations, and diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly—whether in person, over the phone, or electronically. Collaborating closely with our IT team, you'll help maintain our clients' systems up-to-date and running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to clients, troubleshooting software, network, and hardware issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly via in-person, phone, or electronic support.
  • Assist with hardware and software installations.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to maintain and update clients' systems.
  • Use help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools to track and resolve issues.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on building relationships and providing a “Wow” experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Windows in a commercial environment.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common productivity software.
  • Intermediate-level skills in Windows desktop OS and Apple macOS.
  • Beginner to intermediate-level skills in Windows Server, networking, UTM, firewalls, and intranet/internet.
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft 365 and Google apps.
  • Strong understanding of information technology principles and network systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing exceptional service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to self-manage and find solutions.
  • Must have or pass CompTIA A+ exam within 6 months of hire.
