Junior Software Engineer – Platform

About the role

We're seeking a dedicated software engineer to join our Platform team, responsible for the AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters that support all AI capabilities within Neural Solutions. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing the secure foundation on which our organization's AI services operate.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting the organization’s AI capabilities (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for repeatable, reliable deployments.
• Configure and use observability tooling to monitor the health and performance of production services.
• Support certificate management and adhere to established security best practices for AI systems and data.
• Collaborate with other teams in the organization to provision and configure infrastructure dependencies.
• Diagnose and assist in resolving production infrastructure issues.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Python or another modern programming language.
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud service providers.
• Understanding of containerization concepts and tooling such as Docker.
• Able to learn new technologies quickly.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or 7 additional years without the degree.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS services like EKS, Terraform, and IAM.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm/Kustomize.
• Experience with Argo CD and/or other CI/CD frameworks.
• Knowledge of the Elastic Stack (Kibana), Grafana/Prometheus, or similar observability tools and practices.
• Understanding of certificate management.
• Prior experience supporting cloud-native architecture or maintaining production software and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI hosting concepts.

$138,000 - $163,000
