Junior Software Engineer - Automation & Integration

About the role

We are hiring a junior backend developer to build the automation and integration layer that connects our operating companies — project management, accounting, procurement, client communications, estate services, and the Vibrant product and subscription stack.

Responsibilities

• Build process automations that eliminate manual re-entry across QuickBooks, project management tools, CRM, and field systems
• Develop payment and billing flows using Stripe and QuickBooks
• Design and implement notification infrastructure using OneSignal or similar tools
• Integrate with third-party platforms we already use, such as integrating existing tools rather than building from scratch
• Create internal dashboards and lightweight tools to replace spreadsheet-based workflows

Requirements

• Working knowledge of .NET (C#) and Python for backend development
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Comfort with at least one major database (Postgres, SQL Server, or similar)
• Able to handle payments and customer data responsibly, taking security seriously
• Proficient in AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot

Preferred Experience

• Experience with notification platforms (OneSignal, Twilio, SendGrid)
• Payments integration experience (Stripe, QuickBooks API)
• Familiarity with secrets management, secure coding practices, and basic security review processes
• Prior experience at a startup or small team with end-to-end feature ownership
