Junior Automation Engineer
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and identify all possible scenarios to be validated
- Initiate new ideas to suggest, test, implement new technologies and frameworks
- Document test plans and test cases
- Independently research and suggest solutions for ongoing improvement including new frameworks and infrastructure requirements
- System and web-based testing & both automation and manual testing
- REST API testing
- Build automation frameworks using Java
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience or IT related degree, or similar experience
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in system and web-based testing
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in both automation and manual testing
- Experience with GitHub, Jenkins pipelines and running tests in parallel on Linux Jenkins slaves
- Hands on, recent experience with Selenium, Cucumber and Java
- Experience building automation framework from scratch using Java
- Hands on experience with Rest API testing and familiar with API tools
- Experience with DevOps process and cloud infrastructure
- Ability to analyze business requirements quickly and identify all possible scenarios to be validated
- Expertise in documenting test plans and test cases
- Proficient in writing SQL queries and preparing test data is a must
- Strong Analytical and Critical thinking skills
- Must be a self-starter
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- The ability to articulate ideas to non-technical audience
- Agile oriented in approach to engineering and operations, including being comfortable with ambiguity in a flat organization
- Believe in a quick improvement approach: Fail fast, learn fast, improve fast
Additional Information
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. The actual salary will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
