Junior Software Engineer

About the role

Radiance Technologies, an employee-owned company supporting Department of Defense AISR training tools, is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will work autonomously and possess excellent people skills to collaborate with customers on designing, developing, testing, and integrating capabilities into our ISR Ground Procedural Trainer (GPT) and ISR Operator Procedural Trainer (OPT). Flexibility is required, as tasks may include:

• C#/Java/C++/C development
• Hardware/software integration
• Flight simulator integration
• VoIP communications
• GEOINT sensor emulator development
• SIGINT sensor emulator development
• Touchscreen interfaces
• 3D visualization
• Virtual reality integration
• Training

Up to 20% CONUS travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Qualifications

• Experience with multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, C, or C++
• Experience developing in Visual Studio
• Experience with Git or other similar version control software
• Troubleshooting skills with relevant software and hardware
• Effective oral and written communication skills; capable of interpreting critical requirements

• Agile software development methodologies
• Object-oriented design and development
• Software architectural design patterns
• Knowledge of Windows Presentation Framework (WPF)
• Experience with GUI development using XAML
• Experience using software architectural design patterns such as MVVM
• Atlassian software development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo

• Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 operating systems
