Junior Software Engineer – AI/ML Applications

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications with AI/ML capabilities
• Build scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze large datasets
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and scientists to integrate machine learning models into EO/IR sensor simulations
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability for data-intensive workloads
• Work and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Have the ability to work independently at times

Basic Qualifications

• Possess at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent engineering or science degree with relevant software development experience
• Strong, demonstrated experience in object-oriented programming principles
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, C++, C#
• Understanding of software design principles and version control (Git)
• Experience processing and analyzing large datasets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• 0+ years of experience in a related field
• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Hightly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times
• Interest in working multiple programs with proficiency in C++, C# and Python
• Ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Proficiency in data visualization libraries such as matplotlib, plotly, etc. for data analysis and reporting
• Able to translate complex datasets into meaningful insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience deploying, integrating, and maintaining machine learning models within production software applications
• Recent stellar academic performance
• Secret clearance or above
• TS/SCI clearance (with CI Polygraph)
