Junior Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Conducting innovative software development solutions for various Navy identification systems
• Executing scientific, engineering, and technical services required for the design, development, integration, and testing of combat systems
• Analyzing technology and capability gaps to research, develop, and deploy software solutions
• Collaborating with other developers and project leads to design, optimize, and define associated deliverables
• Conducting integration, testing, bug fixes, and other software maintenance activities
• Aiding in the creation of technical documentation and user guides in support of developed software

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in software development
• Applied experience with C/C++ and Java
• Experience working in an agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Applied experience programming in a Linux environment
• Experience using Wireshark and Eclipse IDE for development
• Experience using SVN for source code configuration management

Physical Requirements

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, computer printer, and copy machine. Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
