Junior Software Developer
Job Description
The client is seeking a Developer to support ongoing UDG and ServiceNow-related initiatives. This role is ideal for a strong Software Developer with a solid coding background rather than a traditional ServiceNow-only developer. The team has found the most success training strong developers on ServiceNow, rather than hiring ServiceNow specialists without deep programming expertise.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with technical leads and project stakeholders
- Contribute to both front-end and back-end development efforts
- Learn and expand their ServiceNow platform knowledge
Required Qualifications
- Object-Oriented Programming experience
- Ability to code in a modern programming language
- JavaScript experience
- Coding background
Preferred Qualifications
- Node.js experience
- React experience
- Vue, React, or Angular experience
- Front-end experience
- Back-end experience
- ServiceNow experience is not required
What Makes a Strong Candidate
- Has a real coding background
- Has JavaScript experience
- Ideally has Node.js or React experience
- Might have front-end experience with Vue, React, or Angular
- Can be trained on ServiceNow
Experience Level
No hard “years of experience” number was locked in. The client wants to see what the market looks like first and evaluate profiles case by case.
Location
- Strong preference for local candidates in Cleveland, OH
- Candidates in Buffalo, NY will also be considered
Pay
Bill Rate: 90/hr
Pay rate: 40-50/hr
