Responsibilities
- Conduct research into physical phenomena and develop theories based on observation and experiments
- Support systems engineering modeling for concept of operations, behavioral analysis, and system architecture
- Aid in the development and evaluation of simulation models for weapon systems analysis
- Apply physics principles to support M&S requirements and augment test/evaluation/training exercises
- Contribute to fidelity analysis to determine appropriate models for accurate representation within system-of-systems architecture
- Support multi-domain operations effectiveness experimentation and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, data scientists, and operations research analysts
- Participate in exercise planning and support activities
- Apply methods to develop and interpret information for technical decision-making
- Support the development of MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) frameworks and analysis
Requirements
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in physics or a closely related field is often required for research-intensive roles. 3 years relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Understanding of physical laws and theories and their application to real-world systems
- Knowledge of research methodologies and experimental design
- Familiarity with data analysis and interpretation techniques
- Basic understanding of modeling and simulation concepts
- Desired: Active TS/SCI clearance
- With military or defense-related systems
- Familiarity with Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) simulation environments
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
- Experience with systems engineering processes (IEEE 15288)
- Understanding of DOD or Army systems and operations
- Exposure to AI/ML applications in simulation environments
- Experience with SysML, MATLAB, or other technical modeling tools
Qualifications

Pay
- The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is $60,800 - $121,800
