Junior Research Intern, Center on Reinventing Public Education

About the role

The Center on Reinventing Public Education (CRPE) is seeking a Junior Research Intern to support our qualitative data collection and analysis on our New England District Transformation project. Additionally, they will assist with tasks related to the Canopy project’s nomination survey administration and communications campaign.

Responsibilities

• Support survey administration by drafting materials, updating contact data, and coordinating email communication.
• Support data collection by scheduling, attending, and managing interviews.
• Contribute to qualitative analysis by identifying patterns, themes, and trends across interview and survey data.
• Engage in team meetings, webinars, and other project-related activities; communicate proactively with supervisors and team members regarding progress, priorities, and deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of CRPE research projects and organizational priorities.

Requirements

• Completion of at least one academic or work project involving qualitative research methods, which entailed interviews, data collection, or summarizing findings.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating communication across multiple stakeholder groups by managing recurring correspondence, drafting and distributing updates, and tracking follow-up.
• Experience building and maintaining spreadsheets and databases (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable) to organize and track information.
• Demonstrated interest in education policy and educational equity, with familiarity with US public education institutions, particularly in New England.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
