About the role

We're looking for an organized, motivated, and proactive Junior Recruiter to join a growing Talent Acquisition team. In this 6-month contract role, you'll help drive full-cycle recruiting for high-volume, field-based hiring needs, working closely with hiring managers and senior recruiters to keep candidate pipelines moving. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their recruiting career who wants hands-on experience across the entire hiring process.

Fast-paced environment supporting a large, multi-site workforce. Ideal candidate is coachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative rather than waiting for direction.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers and senior team members to understand open roles and hiring priorities
  • Source candidates through job boards, social platforms, referrals, and professional networking
  • Build and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified candidates for both current and upcoming openings
  • Review resumes and conduct initial phone interviews
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams
  • Represent the employer brand by clearly communicating role details and benefits to candidates
  • Keep candidate information current and accurate within the applicant tracking system
  • Support pre-employment steps such as background checks, drug screenings, and required assessments
  • Follow up consistently to ensure a smooth, positive experience for every candidate
  • Help maintain relationships with outside partners, including schools and community organizations
  • Assist with hiring metrics and recruiting activity reports
  • Represent the company at job fairs and other recruiting events as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 1–3 years of Recruiting/Talent Acquisition experience hiring for manufacturing, distribution, or construction industries
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Valid driver's license required
  • PHR certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Familiarity with an HCM/ATS platform preferred

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Supportive, hands-on training from senior recruiting staff
  • Opportunity to gain broad, hands-on full-cycle recruiting experience

Pay

$22 – $25 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:30 AM–4:30 PM); primarily in-office with some flexibility for hybrid format.
