About the role

We are seeking a Junior Property Compliance Analyst to join our team. This role will be based in either Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Bellevue, WA; Cleveland, OH; Dover, OH; Long Beach, CA; or Portland, OR. Some positions may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Complete pre- and post-occupancy tenant file compliance reviews and reports for designated clients as assigned, following established guidelines and supervisory directions.
  • Identify and escalate potential problem areas during engagements.
  • Conduct research related to federal and/or state compliance regulations and apply findings under supervisory guidance.
  • Work within a deadline-driven environment with significant oversight to meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Meet or exceed established file review productivity benchmarks.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in Section 42, Section 8, or other government housing programs, with a focus on 24 CFR Part 5 related to income eligibility; or an appropriate balance of education and directly related work experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. COS, HCCP) are preferred.
  • Candidates without certification should demonstrate the ability and willingness to obtain applicable certification within two years of employment.
  • Knowledge of tenant file compliance rules and regulations, including the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA).
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to identify issues, ask thoughtful questions, and seek clarification or additional work as appropriate.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and apply compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and complete work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow direction, accept constructive feedback, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and contribute ideas that add value.
  • Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) and report writing tools.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with coworkers and clients and adhere to internal firm deadlines and administrative requirements (e.g., time entry).
  • Available to work evenings and weekends based on position needs, and to travel domestically (expected to be 25-35% of the time, depending on workload).

Pay

$48,000 to $65,000 depending on experience.

Schedule

Available positions may require evenings and weekends based on position needs, and to travel domestically (expected to be 25-35% of the time, depending on workload).
