About the role

The role of Junior Project Manager at Canonical involves ensuring projects are delivered within schedule, scope, cost, budget, and resources expectations. This includes identifying and addressing key technical and project risks, maintaining strong customer focus, conducting regular status meetings and business reviews, and supporting the delivery of critical third-party deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular status meetings and business reviews with customers
  • Support the delivery of critical third-party deliverables for the project
  • Advocate for appropriate technologies from Canonical's portfolio to customers

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a solid academic achievement in a science, software engineering, or information technology field, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and a solution-oriented mindset. They should also demonstrate leadership skills, have an undergraduate degree in a technical subject, and have a passion for technology evidenced by personal projects and initiatives.

Additionally, they should have the ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long.
