About the role

ActioNet is seeking a Junior Project Manager/IT Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects within the organization. This entry-level role assists senior project managers with project scheduling, documentation, and stakeholder coordination while contributing to project tracking, reporting, and administrative support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Track project schedules, deliverables, and key milestones to ensure timely progress
  • Prepare status reports, project documentation, and updates for senior project managers and stakeholders
  • Support project risk tracking, resource coordination, and project monitoring activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment with organizational goals
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project planning, decision-making, and implementation efforts
  • Maintain project documentation, records, and project management artifacts
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for project management activities and meetings
  • Auxiliary coordination of cross-functional teams involved in project activities
  • Monitor project performance and identify potential issues or delays

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in project management, project coordination, or a related support role
  • Basic familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional team environments
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification preferred

Skills

  • Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and project management frameworks
  • Familiarity with IT systems, processes, and technology environments is a plus
  • The following Certifications are preferred/a plus:
    • HDI Desktop Support Technician Certification
    • HDI Customer Service Representative Certification
    • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management
    • CompTIA Network+
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

Benefits

Salary range for this position is up to $178,000, depending on qualifications, including relevant certifications, education, years of experience, and demonstrated experience supporting Federal Government programs within the field.

Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with end-users
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts, including IP addressing and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Ability to lift and transport IT equipment as needed (e.g., desktops, monitors, printers)
