JUNIOR PRODUCTION CHEMIST- ROTTERDAM

Location: Pernis, Zuidwest Nederland

About the role

As a (Junior) Production Chemist, you will perform routine laboratory work, including:

• Demonstrating flexibility by carrying out all tasks that match your knowledge and experience level;
• Following instructions and priorities set by the Team Leader, Senior Production Chemist, Production Chemist, and/or Laboratory Administrator;
• Assessing samples and performing standardized basic analyses such as titrations, visual inspections, ICP, and laboratory manual work;
• Recording and maintaining analysis data in the laboratory information system;
• Performing first-line checks on laboratory equipment;
• Maintaining order and cleanliness in the laboratory and sample storage;
• Handling laboratory equipment, glassware, and chemicals with care;
• Conducting Proficiency tests;
• Attending trainings and keeping training records up to date;
• Communicating about the progress of tasks with the Production Chemist;
• Following work instructions and laboratory procedures derived from ISO 9001;
• Reporting, registering, and escalating imperfections and unsafe situations;
• Attending toolbox meetings and contributing to safety in the laboratory.

Requirements

We are looking for a proactive team player who values collaboration to succeed in this role. You should also be able to maintain an overview and set priorities. Additionally, we require:

• At least an MBO diploma (intermediate vocational education) and corresponding work and thinking level;
• Extensive experience in chemical analyses;
• Preferably a specialization, for example in chromatography;
• Knowledge of Proficiency testing;
• Solid technical understanding of analytical equipment;
• Proficiency in both English and Dutch, both written and verbal.

Pay

Salary: €2,525 gross per month for full-time employment.
