About Your Role

As a (Junior) Chemist at Bureau Veritas, you will contribute to ensuring the quality of oil, petrochemical products, and agricultural products, among others. Your work will be based on-site at the Port of Rotterdam, and you will collaborate with a small, informal team under the supervision of a shift supervisor. What You Will Do

  • Perform a diverse range of analyses on various (petro-)chemical products using different analytical techniques
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with other departments (e.g., Survey and Customer Service)
  • Work in shift rotations, including a 5-shift system (7 days per week)
  • Carry out other laboratory duties as needed

What You Bring

  • A completed MBO (secondary vocational) qualification
  • Knowledge of petrochemical analysis is a plus
  • No experience? That's fine. We provide the necessary training to prepare you for this role
  • Strong command of English and/or Dutch (spoken and written)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and sometimes under pressure
