Junior Product Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Product Engineer to join a growing manufacturing team in Pawling, NY. This hands-on role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain experience in product development, CAD design, tooling, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of materials, work instructions, and technical reports
• Develop and support tooling, fixtures, molds, dies, and other production equipment
• Aid with new product launches and engineering change activities
• Diagnose and resolve manufacturing and production issues to enhance quality and efficiency
• Collaborate with production, quality, purchasing, planning, and sales teams to support project timelines
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support manufacturing operations
• Participate in testing, validation, and process development activities

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field
• 1+ years of engineering experience, including internships or co-op experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar CAD software
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, and production methods
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles (plus)
• Experience with rubber, silicone, elastomers, or other industrial materials (plus)
