Junior Planner

About the role

Create daily production plans and monitor work-center capacities. Communicate late, expedited, or rescheduled work orders to affected areas. Liaise between Planner and Team Leads to ensure schedule adherence.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily plans provided by master scheduling and planning.
• Daily issuance of orders to the Fabrication area.
• Work with Area Team Leaders to ensure area can complete daily orders and make line adjustments as required.
• Compile and transfer all required information and programs to the Fab area using Line specific tools and applications.
• Maintain schedules by utilizing established scheduling tools (i.e., Door Dashboard, Production Information Board) to ensure work-centers are on time and update system information accurately.
• Notify area managers or supervisors in manufacturing of late work-centers.
• Daily WIP Audits to evaluate product flow and report on schedule compliance and work order status.
• Evaluate Steel requirements and make changes based on available steel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of NC Programming
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility
• Adapts quickly to changing business needs while maintaining a positive, solution-focused mindset
• Collaborates across departments to broaden organizational knowledge and support continuous improvement
• Embraces feedback and coaching to enhance performance and prepare for future leadership or expanded roles

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in manufacturing or related field
• Basic understanding of NC Programming
