Junior Oracle Software Developer
About the role
We are seeking a junior-mid software developer to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), a large-scale Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) federal financial management environment hosted in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role focuses on providing hands-on development experience within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or similar enterprise systems, supporting technical enhancements, data processing workflows, and cloud-ready integration patterns. The ideal candidate enjoys building components that improve system clarity, data quality, and integration performance in a structured environment. This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the Continental US.
Responsibilities
- Develop PL/SQL and support EBS technical components.
- Build OCI-based services such as functions, APIs, and cloud data objects.
- Implement logic that supports clear system traceability and integration readiness.
- Support structured data import and validation processes compatible with Oracle Fusion Cloud or Accounting Hub journal patterns.
- Assist with documentation and Agile development activities.
- Collaborate with functional SMEs, architects, and test teams in Agile sprints and PI cycles.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- PL/SQL experience and understanding of Oracle database fundamentals.
- Familiarity with cloud concepts, preferably OCI.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs.
- Ability to obtain/maintain IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive suitability.
Qualifications (Desired)
- Experience with Oracle EBS R12, especially Financials.
- Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Fusion Cloud concepts.
- Experience with Python or Java for cloud-native/API development.
- Experience working in SAFe/Agile environments.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 – $156,700.00.
