About the Role
The Department of Radiology at the University of California, Irvine is accepting applications for Junior or Assistant Specialists. This is a one year appointment, non-senate, and is renewable based on performance and availability of funding.
Responsibilities
- Providing support for recruitment and participant engagement
- Maintaining study database (RedCAP)
- Creating data reports
- Conducting literature reviews
- Aiding with protocol development and IRB submission
- Aiding with presentations, reports, and manuscript writing
- Aiding with training and supervising student research assistants
- Aiding with other tasks as needed
Requirements
- Close collaboration with other departments and institutions
- Experience with medical research and scientific writing
- Experience in health services research is desirable
- Collaborative: performs as a team member with good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to manuscript preparation, IRB submission and grant writing
Qualifications
- Basic qualifications (required at time of application): Junior Specialist requirement: Appointees to the Junior rank should possess a baccalaureate degree in an applicable field, or equivalent research experience. Assistant Specialist requirements: Appointees to the Assistant rank should possess a master's degree or five years of equivalent specialized experience.
