About the role
Camping World is seeking a Junior Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst to join our IT team in Bowling Green, KY.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Network/Server/Application performance and system alerts to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform regular system health checks, including reviewing logs and system alerts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and system incidents, escalating issues to higher-level support when necessary.
- Document incidents, issues, and resolutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless network operations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support to users and other stakeholders as needed.
- Aid in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance network performance.
Requirements
- Intermediate understanding of PC computers, networks, and communications.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office desktop tools and perform routine file system maintenance within the Windows environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills - including the use of written, electronic, and oral communication.
- The ability to work in a shift-based environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- May require on-call availability for critical incidents.
- Able to provide support over the phone to users.
- Sit for extended periods while monitoring systems and responding to incidents.
- Occasional lifting of equipment and devices may be required.
Qualifications
- This role requires the flexibility to rotate between shifts to support business operations.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-5 years of experience in network monitoring, network support, or a similar role within an IT environment.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, OpManager, Splunk).
- Knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- The ability to work under pressure and handle urgent issues promptly and effectively.
