Junior Network Deployment Technician - ResiBridge
Responsibilities
- Serve as the “gold standard” technician, modeling best practices and high-quality workmanship in the field
- Mentor and coach deployment technicians, training them on procedures, tools, and technical standards
- Perform advanced installation and troubleshooting tasks for fiber and wireless deployments
- Lead complex installations, retrofits, or service calls requiring high attention to detail
- Review and ensure as-builts, photos, and documentation are completed correctly in the field
- Assist with field QC, validating cable runs, terminations, equipment configuration, and signal testing
- Coordinate with the Network Deployment Manager to ensure proper materials, tools, and manpower are available
- Represent ResiBridge professionally with residents, building staff, and property managers
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of fiber optic, Coax, Ethernet or similar cabling experience. This includes extensive hands-on experience with the installation, testing, and maintenance of Cat-5/5E/6/6A cables, fiber optics, fiber connectors, patch panels, and rack equipment.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in the installation of internet broadband infrastructure is essential. Candidates must be proficient in all aspects of network cabling and infrastructure setup.
- Licensing: A valid driver license is required for this position
- Technical Documentation: Ability to accurately create, read, understand, and follow detailed work orders, blueprints, and scope documents
- Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing and able to adapt to a flexible working schedule, which may include evenings and weekends to meet project deadlines
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools is essential for efficient and safe completion of tasks
- Physical Requirements: Comfortable working in confined spaces such as basements, electrical closets, shaftways, etc. The position also requires the capability of lifting up to 75 lbs and working at heights (ladders/rooftops).
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders
Nice-to-Haves
- Advanced Wireless Knowledge: Past experience with wireless backhaul technologies, including familiarity with 5GHz, 24GHz, 60GHz, and 70/80GHz frequency bands. This includes understanding the principles of operation, installation, and troubleshooting of wireless backhaul systems.
