Junior Mold Maker

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all types of mold fabricating equipment.
• Read and interpret mold drawings to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Make, alter, and repair molds and components of complex design.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble injection molds to maintain optimal performance.
• Determine which mold components need repair or replacement to ensure proper gating, venting, and cooling of molds.
• Polish mold component finishes as required to maintain quality standards.
• Perform routine mold repairs and fabricate mold components via established methods.
• Perform development work, fitting and adjusting of mold components to maintain proper dimensional tolerances.
• Fit and adjust mold components to maintain proper dimensional tolerances.
• Absorb and assist more experienced Mold Makers on large and complicated multi-cavity molds.
• Observe all safety and environmental procedures and QSR's.
• Help keep Hoist inspected.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.
• Vocational/Technical School training or education in Machining, Toolmaker, or Tool & Die preferred
• Minimum of 1-3 years Machinist or Tool & Die experience OR in lieu Machining, Toolmaker, Tool & Die Certification.
• EDM proficiency preferred.
• Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts of 07:00 PM to 07:00 AM.
