Junior Mechanic - Assembler

This entry-level position is designed for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine passion for hands-on work, offering on-the-job training to succeed and advance into specialized machine shop roles.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble heavy industrial pumps and components under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by returning tools and keeping work bays clear.
• Use basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments to check part dimensions.
• Assist in reviewing technical drawings, manuals, and work orders to understand assembly sequences.
• Follow all company safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Strong foundational comfort using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to perform basic shop math, including fractions, decimals, and basic measurements.
• Positive attitude with a strong desire to take direction, learn new skills, and grow within the company.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and operate safely in an active industrial shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent trade school experience preferred but not required.
